Brexit

My aim is to provide true representation for the people of Rother Valley on the issues that are important to them.

The Rother Valley constituents voted in favour of leaving the EU by 66.72% to 33.28%. That is significantly over the national average - and the votes of the residents of the region must be respected for faith in our democracy to prevail.

My personal view is that the top priority is now to leave. Deal or No Deal. The new deadline of 31st January must not be extended.

Again my personal view is that we should retain the right as a country to re-apply for membership should that be the wish of the nation - maybe with an arbritary commitment of no re-application within 10 years. That should give a true reflection as to how well the country is performing and trading post Brexit. The country could well thrive, nobody knows.

PLEDGE: I would not vote in any way to extend the deadline.
