Polling Day Post!

Today many of you will be casting your votes in the Local Elections. On past evidence however a huge majority of you won't bother (only 27% turnout in Aughton & Swallownest Ward last time). Thats sad, and it says to me that many of you have no faith in a vote locally as you think that it doesnt matter who you vote for - nothing will change.

This time you have an opportunity to vote for a local candidate who has no interest in politics or politicians. I truly have the best interests of our area and its residents at heart. You also have my word that I will not vote for anything to happen to our area that is to its detriment. I want ALL of our area to thrive.

Please give me a chance to show you what I can achieve in the next 4 years by trusting me with ONE of your TWO votes. You can (if you wish) use your other to vote for one of the other parties - all 7 of the other candidates represent a political party.

I REPRESENT US. ALL OF US. VOTE INDEPENDENT FOR CHANGE.

Please vote today. Don't assume others will provide the votes I need to succeed without your vote being necessary.
